A student of IES 'Castillo Puche' won second prize in the VII National Contest of training cycles of Wood and Furniture (31/05/2010)

A student of the Secondary School 'Castillo Puche' of Yecla, won second prize in the VII National Contest of training cycles of Wood and Furniture, which was held last weekend in Pamplona.

This is Antonio Garcia, a 21 year old who is studying the formation cycle Advanced Level Wood and Furniture.

The test, which involved students from 15 regions, was the development of the future logo Pamplona's bid for European Capital of Culture in 2016, a maximum of four hours.

For the award of prizes, the jury assessed the accuracy of the measurements, adjustments, framing, finishing and the time taken for execution.

The competition is aimed at non-university students who provide family Vocational Wood and Furniture.

Students may not exceed 22 years and can submit a maximum of two students by autonomous community.

A few months ago, another student of Vocational IES José Luis Castillo Puche of Yecla, Carlos Ortega, won a national award for Higher Level Vocational it became the best student in Spain in the professional family of Wood, Furniture and Cork .

The IES 'Castillo Puche' is currently the only school in the region that imparts this training cycle.
