The "José Luis Castillo-Puche" Foundation presents the fifth edition of the "Literary Cities" conference cycle (15/01/2019)

Along with the Department of Culture program, from January 16 to February 20, lectures by Manuel Moyano, José Belmonte Serrano, Pedro Luis Ladrón de Guevara and Paulina Michasska.

It has also scheduled a meeting with the writer Juan Eslava Galan, the presentation of the new numbers of the magazines "Canalobre" and "Hécula", and the screening of the movie "La mule"

The councilman of Culture, Jesus Verdú and the secretary of the Foundation "José Luis Castillo-Puche", Liborio Ruiz, have presented the fifth edition of the cycle of conferences "Literary Cities" that will take place in the Hall of Acts Pablo Corbalan de la Casa Municipal de Cultura from January 16 to February 20, organized by the Department of Culture and the "José Luis Castillo-Puche" Foundation

A cycle that "started with the purpose of keeping alive the literary memory around José Luis Castillo Puche", as indicated by Liborio Ruiz and that in the four previous editions has allowed to enjoy the participation of great writers such as Ignacio Martinez Pison, Julio Llamazares , Andres Trapiello, or Juan Eslava Galan, this year, as recalled by the Councilor for Culture.

In addition to the outstanding participation of professors Jose Belmonte and Oscar Barrero, who together with Liborio Ruiz form the organizational nucleus of this conference cycle

In this year's edition, the cycle begins tomorrow, January 16 with the conference "Journey to Literary North America: Boukowski, Hemingway, Thoreau, Lovecraft and Auster" by the novelist Manuel Moyano.

On January 23, the conference "Spanish travelers for Italy (from the twelfth to the twentieth century)" was scheduled by Pedro Luis Ladrón de Guevara (Professor of Italian at the University of Murcia).

On January 30, "Murcia and Castillo-Puche in the days leading up to the Civil War" given by José Belmonte Serrano, from the University of Murcia.

Subsequently, on February 6 will be held the conference "Madrid in Times of Silence by Luis Martín Santos" by Paulina Michasska of the University of Szczencin

On February 13, film and literature unite, in the screening of the film "La Mula", based on the novel by Juan Eslava Galan and will be presented by Joaquín Val, film critic.

On Thursday, February 14, the number 67 of the Canalobre Magazine is published, edited by the Juan Gil Albert Institute of Alicante Culture.

It is dedicated to Azorin and includes an article by Yeclano professor, expert in the Azorinian work, José Manuel Vidal.

The cycle ends on February 20 with an act that moves to the Municipal Auditorium "Juan Miguel Benedito".

The number 6 of the Hécula Magazine, published by the Castillo Puche Foundation, will be presented by Oscar Barrero Pérez of the Autonomous University of Madrid and José Belmonte Serrano of the University of Murcia.

A meeting with the writer Juan Eslava Galán, moderated by José Belmonte Serrano, has also been scheduled.
