Emergency services proceed to the rescue in mountain of a hiker (15/12/2019)

The Emergency Coordination Center 1-1-2 Region of Murcia has received a call at 1:54 p.m.

warning of the accident suffered by a hiker at the entrance of the Cave of the Arabi in Yecla in the hamlet of Campo Arriba.

The caller reports that a stone has fallen on the hiker, a 40-year-old woman, and after the coup it has become unconscious and bleeding from the head.

They report that the woman has subsequently regained consciousness.

Immediately to the place the following troops are mobilized:

Sanitary Ware of the Emergency and Sanitary Emergency Management 061 (a Mobile Emergency Unit.

Firefighters of the Firefighting and Rescue Consortium of the Region of Murcia based in the Yecla Park (a total of 5 firefighters and 1 light pumper truck and a headquarters vehicle.

The helicopter of the General Directorate of Public Safety and Emergencies with rescue firefighters is pre-alert.

Firefighters and toilets are attending the hiker and point out that for the evacuation of the wound no rescue helicopter is necessary.

Firefighters move the wound on foot to the area where the ambulance is located.

The ambulance takes the hiker to the Virgen del Castillo de Yecla University General Hospital.

Firefighters terminate the rescue and return to the park.
