The PSOE considers it inappropriate to spend 7,420 euros on a not exactly equal concert activities Women's Day (11/04/2016)

The Municipal Socialist Group has expressed its disagreement spending 7,420 euros that the local government team held last March 17 in one of the activities for the celebration of Women's Day, considering that does not match the essence of one day protest for equality with a concert in which some letters denote a tone of superiority of men over women.

The Socialists show respect for the artist Jose Manuel Soto, but do not consider it appropriate act to this day, as they understand the role of women in full equality rather than subordination and guilt.

From the Municipal Socialist Group understand that money would be more appropriate destine to policies that promote real equality between men and women, or is intended to combat the scourge of violence against women, especially important this aspect, since the government regional leads down investment in prevention in more than 500,000 euros since 2011, going from 2,692,542 euros in that year to 2,008,968 euros in the project of the PP, which fortunately was expanded by more than 100,000 euros with the remaining amendments parties of the Regional Assembly.

In this sense, the PSOE launched a couple of questions to citizenship Is it logical that instead of investing in policies to promote equality concerts whose songs are far with the autonomous, free and egalitarian woman XXI century ?.

And secondly Is it appropriate that this government team invests more in festivals and in concerts in equality policies or employment and education ?.
