The Popular Group has presented in the Congress of Deputies a Non-Law Proposal (NLP) in which the Central Government is urged to construct and put into operation a new Local Police Station of the National Police Corps in Yecla and that "it will be debated in the House Committee of the House, "explained the national deputy of the PP for Murcia, Isabel Borrego.

Both the Yecla City Council and the Government of the Nation are aware that the building housing the police units does not meet the conditions for the provision of public service due to its small space, age, state of conservation and structural inadequacy.

For this reason, and as the National MP of the PP, Isabel Borrego has advanced, the Yecla City Council agreed in July 2016, responding to the request of the Secretary of State for Interior, of the old facilities of the municipal slaughterhouse.

Borrego explained the justification for this request, since "the public services provided by the National Police Corps in each municipality have a marked territorial character and the real beneficiaries of direct form are the inhabitants and neighbors of Yecla.

The deputy 'popular' has said that the new facilities of the police will correspond to those of the 'old municipal slaughterhouse', a place chosen as the ideal place to house the police units after the visit to Yecla by the Technician of the Area of ​​Heritage and Architecture of the Directorate General of the Police, who was accompanied by the Chief of the Local Police and several municipal technicians.

In this sense Isabel Borrego has asserted that "without a doubt the assignment will contribute to the direct provision of the public security service inherent to the police function in the municipality of Yecla."

It should be recalled that the Mayor of Yecla accompanied by the Deputy held a working meeting with the Director General of the National Police and his team last July to advance the construction and commissioning of the Commissioner .
