Ciudadanos Yecla proposes to lower local taxes charged to the budget surplus of the municipalities (02/12/2017)

● The training raises a motion in which the Government is urged to amend the Budget Stability Law

Citizens will propose at the next Plenary session a reduction in local taxes charged to the treasury surplus, the surplus recorded by the municipal budget.

The liberal formation wants the government to modify the Budget Stability Law to allow the consistories to use these funds to relieve the tax burden on the neighbors, based above all on the IBI, the 'seal' of the car or the Tax on Economic Activities.

Currently, the local administration is regulated by the aforementioned Budget Stability Law, "which prevents them from getting into debt, while at the same time obliging them to allocate the positive remainder principally to debt reduction," said local spokesman Orange, Antonio Puche. "But the economic recovery is enabling many municipalities to achieve surpluses at the end of each year, with the limitation that they do not have the option to apply it to improve services, such as social or employment."

Also, Citizens will also request that the conditions of debt restriction that municipalities now have for the aforementioned law be reviewed, so that those who comply with the established requirements can carry out credit operations "to be able to cope in better conditions with its obligation to provide the best services to citizens ", concluded Puche.
