The Governing Council of the Region of Murcia has approved grants for the drafting of the proposed restoration of the Old Church and the remodeling of the Municipal Archaeological Museum "Cayetano de Mergelina" for a total of almost 380 thousand euros
The Governing Council of the Region of Murcia has approved a direct grant of 58,942 euros subsidy for the drafting of the proposed restoration of the Old Church of Yecla.
Likewise, was published in the Official Gazette of the Murcia Region a grant of 320,000 euros for the museum renovation and adaptation of spaces in the Municipal Archaeological Museum "Mergelina Cayetano" in its first phase.
The grant, from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the restoration project of the Old Church is based on public interest and cultural.
The Old Church is declared of cultural interest in the category of monument.
Public administrations are committed to collaborate in the restoration of Historical and Artistic Heritage.
In the case of the renovation of the Municipal Archaeological Museum, the total amount of this first phase amounts to 400,000 euros, so that the City will contribute the remaining € 80,000.
