Castillo-Puche Foundation of Yecla open to the public its extensive bibliographic and documentary (25/01/2011)

The collection includes manuscripts and letters by authors such as Delibes, Buero Vallejo, Cela, Torrente Ballester, or Hemingway, and also has 7,648 monographs, 818 periodicals and publications

The President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, accompanied by the mayor of Yecla, Juan Miguel Benedito, Yecla chaired the launch of the bibliographic and documentary Fundación José Luis Castillo-Puche, allowing public access and researchers to yeclano writer's legacy, consisting of more than 8,000 journals and hundreds of important manuscripts of authors.

Sender, Miguel Delibes, Camilo José Cela, Antonio Buero Vallejo, Gonzalo Torrente Ballester, Manuel Alvar, Andrés Concha Alborg Sobejano or, among others.

For its part, the writer's library has 7,648 monographs and 818 copies of magazines or serials, as well as various personal items Castillo-Puche from his office, as his pens, his old typewriter and his decorations.

The Fundación José Luis Castillo-Puche was established in the Municipal House of Culture of Yecla in October 2006, at a ceremony attended by President of the regional government and the yeclano author's widow, Julia Figueira's also a writer, was born in order to collect, manage, publish and distribute the production of the writer, both published and unpublished, catalog and archive the original texts of all his writings and his lectures, speeches and any other provision of oral nature.
