The Councillor for Culture, Jesús Verdú, inaugurated the course at the University of the Sea, "Reading: a personal challenge and academic in the XXI century (Homage to Jose Luis Castillo-Puche)" which takes place from 17 to 19 July, in the Municipal House of Culture of Yecla.
Was accompanied by two course leaders, teachers José Serrano and Amando Lopez Belmonte Valero
The course will serve to reflect on the concept of reading, appreciate the important work of the reader and writer, understanding and awareness of the importance of literary criticism, analyzing and appraising the works of Jose Luis Castillo-Puche, which will be discussed in This time his role as "voracious reader of American and European literature," said Belmonte Serrano recalled.
During these days go through this course leading academics as Javier Chivite, University Camilo Jose Cela, Oscar Barrero, of the Autonomous University of Madrid, Gabriel Nunez, University of Almería, Eloy Garcia Martos and Gloria at the University of Extremadura or Isabel Jerez, University of Castilla-La Mancha, and writers such as Jerome Tristante or Pascual Garcia.
Jesus emphasized that Yecla Verdú hosts courses Universidad del Mar since 2006.
In this course, the widow of Jose Luis Castillo-Puche, Julia Figueira, who died recently, will be well represented, as one of the talks will focus on remembering his literary and personal profile, and its importance in the history of Castillo-Puche.
In addition Liborio Ruiz, director of the House of Culture, will lead a tour of Yecla in the literary path Azorin and Castillo-Puche
Councilman also recalled that as a listener can participate in any session of this conference, but not received the diploma and college credit for being officially registered.
This is the 29th edition of the summer courses at the University of Murcia.
It has offered fifty courses distributed among the 20 sites, among which is included Yecla where in addition to this course of reading, has scheduled a course on law enforcement specialties in September.
