The city of Yecla and Rehabilitated Alcoholics Association signed an agreement that will allow the maintenance of the local headquarters and therapeutic care (17/06/2013)

The Yecla Full Council approved at the regular meeting of June the cooperation agreement with the Association of Rehabilitated Alcoholics-ARY, which establishes a municipal contribution of 21,000 euros for the development of programs for prevention, care and treatment related with addictions and especially alcohol addiction.

This agreement is part of local and regional guidelines for development cooperation support actions and social integration of people with alcohol problems and their families.

The agreement signed between ARY and the city of Yecla is in effect for the current year 2013, and are held accountable for their follow Councillor for Social Policy, the director of the Center for Social Services and the president of that association.

It should be noted that the Association of Rehabilitated Alcoholics Yecla renewed the composition of its Board of Directors during the Extraordinary General Meeting held on April 16.

After the corresponding feedback was appointed president Salvador Perez Lorenzo, who is accompanied by a vice president, a secretary, a treasurer and seven vowels.

Rehabilitated Alcoholics Association of Yecla operating since 1991 as a non-governmental organization directed public attention to global and drug addiction, especially alcoholism, and is a resource assistance for patients and families to provide specialized psychotherapeutic treatment groups stable therapy help and guidance.

Furthermore, ARY is committed to social awareness through acceptance and direct assistance to patients who deny their alcohol dependency and family counseling, in collaboration also with health institutions and health.

"The public and voluntary character of Rehabilitated Alcoholics Association is helping set an example to many people with alcohol problems in Yecla, which hinder their social relationships, work and family, so this agreement will serve to maintain the premises where social and fund based care programs and rehabilitation of patients and families, "said Councilman Antonio Puche.
