Women at risk of exclusion from Yecla conclude the sewing association 'Project Abraham' (22/01/2014)

A total of 12 women at risk of social exclusion in the city of Yecla have completed the sewing workshop developed by the Association "Project Abraham", which had a duration of 40 hours that were given sewing notions related and Repair garment.

The CEO of Social Policy, Leopoldo Navarro, accompanied by the Mayor of Yecla, Marcos Ortuño, by Councilwoman Education, Children and Social Policy, María Remedios Lajara, and María José Chumillas, Association "Project Abraham 'participated yesterday in the presentation of diplomas.

The purpose of this activity is to enable this group of women to acquire skills and competences to develop any kind of job related to sewing and get a job in this field.

During this event, Navarro said, "This course will help them firstly to acquire training and, secondly, to open up any doors in the labor market."

Thus, it has deepened on various aspects of sewing and repairing clothes, but from the Association "Project Abraham" occur constantly workshops on other topics and crafts, for example, the 'cobbler'.

The CEO praised the collaboration between the city and the nonprofit entity to provide job opportunities for these women.
