Youth Project reinforces its commitment to youth volunteering in Yecla (01/07/2015)

Currently they are collaborating with associations or non-governmental entities Yecla in social projects and education

The Councillor for Social Policy, Remedy Lajara reported activities in this course by members of the Youth Project an initiative of youth volunteering promoted by the Department of Social Policy, through the program "Educating in the street", coordinated from the Municipal Social Services Centre.

Thus, the councilor pointed out that young project members have recently collaborated with Adixmur Yecla partnership with a workshop for children with dyslexia and other learning difficulties.

They have also taught a workshop of social networks aimed at children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities.

An activity that has been widely accepted and have extended to workers own social service center.

In the future it is intended to impart to other local associations.

He recently conducted a campaign to collect non-perishable food for the food program Assembly Local Red Cross Yecla, called "solidarity Cart" developed in various supermarkets in our city.

An activity that has been widely accepted by the public, collecting 1,400 kilos of food staples and basic hygiene products.

We study to expand this activity, this autumn, in collaboration with other social organizations in the municipality.

Young project has twenty volunteers aged between 16 and 30 years.
