Full Yecla City Council has approved the final award of the rehabilitation works of Casino Primitivo de Yecla, which will take place with the signing of an agreement signed by the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, the Ministry of the Presidency and the town of Yecla.

Thus, the works will begin next September, with a lead time of 26 months, and will involve the wholesale renewal of the historic building.

To implement the project, whose budget amounts to 2,898,700 euros, the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport provides 1,000,000 euros, as the Ministry of the Presidency, while the Consistory yeclano finances the remaining amount of performance.

The building dates from 1888, when it was designed by the architect Justo Millán-author of the first two restorations of the Teatro Romea de Murcia, and soon became one of the centers and cultural highlights of the municipality.

With the comprehensive rehabilitation of the building, part of the cultural and historical heritage of the city, the new yeclanos can enjoy the architectural value of this landmark building in the center of town, which was acquired by the City Council in 2007.

The performance will begin the second half of September and poses a respectful rehabilitation will focus on the recovery of the ornamental features contained in the original plans for the infrastructure.

The general director of Housing and Architecture, Mark Nogueroles, called the actions of "great interest because it is the complete rehabilitation of one of the most representative buildings of architectural heritage of Yecla.
