The jury, which consisted of Rafael Ortín, director of Caja Murcia, Juan Antonio Aroca, representing the Institute of Development in the Region of Murcia (INFO), Marcel Benedito, director of Casa Viva, Juan Francisco Abad, Coordinator of the Observatory Design and Architecture in the Region of Murcia, Enrique Martí, the study design Enrique Martí, Alejandro Benavidez, director of the magazine dxi Magazine, Juan Miguel Gil, representing Egelasta Furniture Company, Francisco Martinez, designer Mobil Fresno and Jesus Sanz, director of CETEM selected seven of the 49 projects submitted.
In total 49 projects were submitted from different Spanish provinces and other countries like Colombia, which shows the great interest in each year between designers both nationally and internationally.
The projects selected to advance to the second phase are: Armadillo, Six Collection, Nua, Novel Verde, The 5 grand, Teja Bend and Mod 01.
From this point they will contact the selected designers with companies in the furniture industry in the Region of Murcia to start manufacturing the prototypes to be presented for the second phase, which will select the three winning projects of this fifteenth edition International Design Competition Industrial Furniture Murcia Region CETEM and will be announced as each year in Yecla Furniture Fair.
The contest counts as each year sponsored by Caja Murcia, Caja Mediterráneo, Instituto de Fomento Region de Murcia, the city of Yecla, Yecla Furniture Fair and in collaboration with Clarke & Modet.
