CETEM shows innovative technology to more than 80,000 people (09/11/2009)

From 2 to 8 November, CETEM participated in celebrating the Week of Science and Technology 2009.

To this end, organized a week of open house in Yecla with the goal of schools, colleges, associations and interested staff could visit the facilities of this center, and check the latest technologies being applied to the sector.

In addition, CETEM participated along with other technology centers in a common carp in the Science Week in Murcia which organized the Seneca Foundation.

According to data provided by the Seneca Foundation, more than 80,000 people attended the garden of Murcia Malecon to see the more than 300 activities between demonstrations, workshops, experiments, exhibitions, theater and performances of various associations, universities and companies that exhibited at this event.

CETEM showed the object identification technology (RFID), in a simple and appropriate for younger audiences.

Under the headline "Guess, guess what's the witch in the box?" Was held the activity was introduced children to various types of furniture in a closed box so that, through this system of identification, the sorcerer I guess.

The objects had built a small device, similar to a sticker, which contain antennas to receive and respond to requests by radio from an RFID transmitter-receiver.

Through this simple example, CETEM has claimed that all attendees a week of science known, first RFID technology, its operation and potential uses, and other benefits and applications that this technology have contributed to the furniture sector.
