Under the Sectoral Plan Home Furniture ANIEME-ICEX 2009, the National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters of Spain (ANIEME) has organized a trade mission to Angola directly involving 12 Spanish companies.

For this ANIEME has enjoyed the support of ICEX and the Commercial Office of Spain in Luanda, responsible for preparing the talk.

The 12 companies that travel to Angola, supported by technical staff ANIEME are: ALEXANDRA COLLECTION, ARTALDA, Genevieve SOLOMOS, MILMUEBLE, POINT, CANELLA FURNITURE, RATTAN DECO TUSCAN MOBIL Esquitin, Alpuche and Vicente Zaragoza.

The trade mission that begins today will run November 30 through December 4 and has as main objective to promote trade contacts with Angolan importers contribute to increasing the presence of Spanish furniture in Angola.

The interviews will take place on days 1, 2 and 3 December in Luanda.

This is the first trade mission to Angola ANIEME, although the decision to carry out is based on the positive results of preliminary market study conducted by staff of the Association in October 2008.

In this preliminary study ANIEME are extracted, among other findings, that the Spanish furniture is highly regarded in Angola and, since almost all imports and transport the Angolan companies cover via Portugal, Spain, in this case has a comparative advantage Italy.

In addition, the Angolan companies are very interested in meeting with Spanish suppliers, given the good reputation of quality and design of our furniture, which they consider superior to the Portuguese.

Modern lines are the most popular in Angola, and it is this type of furniture which is exposed in most stores.

However, for large projects, such as furnishing of villas and management offices, demand is high-end furniture in classical style, often working from a catalog.

ANIEME President, Juan Carlos Munoz, said that "the Spanish cabinet tendered increasingly varied and more international exposure.

However, companies should strengthen the promotion area outside to cope with the growing competition for markets and diversify sales into new emerging destinations that offer interesting business opportunities in the short and medium term, as is the case in Angola. "
