The Department of Culture of the City of Yecla, via Liborio Ruiz Molina, Archaeologist and Director of the Municipal House of Culture, will be tomorrow, Friday 28 May in the founding act of the Association of the Mediterranean Basin Ruprestre Art-World Heritage to be held in the old Hospital de San Juan de Dios de Jaén.
As is known since 1998, UNESCO declared World Heritage as a whole of 727 caves and shelters that form the Rock Art of the Mediterranean Basin, affecting the declaration to 6 regions, 16 provinces and 157 town hall, among which is included Yecla.
According to the Director of the Municipal House of Culture Heritage Declaration did not mean, or mean, a full stop to the work done to his statement, but the beginning of a commitment by the institutions concerned with the well stated, in order to ensure their preservation and dissemination, as well as serve as a useful tool for economic development of the territories that host this unique heritage. "
This is the challenge that has marked this association is now and where you intend to combine the efforts of the various stakeholders involved: Local Development Groups, Provincial and Local Government.
This justifies the presence in the founding of the Hon.
