Pablo Romero Santa has been the last priest to join the diocesan presbytery this course.
The young man received the Priestly Order last Saturday in the celebration that took place in his parish of origin, La Purísima de Yecla, presided over by the Bishop of Cartagena.
"Your generous surrender to the Lord has stirred our interior and we could not resist not being with you when God sent the Holy Spirit upon you and consecrated you a priest, a chosen one to be a prophet in this time," the Bishop told him at the beginning of the homily, in which he reminded him that, as a priest, he is sent to announce "the word of Christ and the faith of the Church", having Christ as "reason" for his ministry.
The Bishop also spoke of the dangers that may arise, such as "looking at oneself" and not the people entrusted to him.
Bishop Lorca reminded the ordering that the task entrusted to him by the Church is to preach, to proclaim the beauty of faith and the joy of being of Christ to all who are sad and afflicted, always with closeness and closeness.
"I beg you, Paul, that you ask God in your daily prayer that you learn to be simple, humble, faithful and diligent and that you bring forward the transparency of your faith and holiness."
The new priest, who thanked God for his vocation and those who have accompanied him during these years of formation, will carry out his ministry as parochial vicar in San Juan Bautista de Archena.
