The Association of Friends of Music informs that last Monday, October 29, the "online sound" of the documentary "The Sound of the Canvas" was made online.

Undoubtedly, a great musical and cultural project, which began in 2014 with the world premiere of the work "The Burial of the Count Orgaz", composed for the occasion by the Dutch composer Alexander Comitas on the occasion of the commemoration of the fourth centenary of the death of the Greek painter, organized by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Yecla through the Replica Museum of El Greco.
The work is inspired by the painting of the same name that El Greco painted, and consists of five movements: I. Hymn, II.
Funeral procession, III.
San Esteban and San Agustín, IV.
The Angel and the Soul, V. In Heaven and the VI.
Hymn. Each movement relates the painting musically, with some parts of tutti and others more chamber music, reflecting the fullness of some areas of the painting and the pictorial details of others.
After the concert of the Symphonic Band of the Association of Friends of Music of Yecla, conducted by Ángel Hernández Azorín, on October 18, 2014 in the Patio de Armas of the Alcázar de Toledo, the Association of Friends of Music of our Yecla , opted for the production and production of a documentary that will show the process of creation of the work, the figure of Doménikos Theotokópoulos, the Association of Friends of Music itself and the experience lived in the Alcázar de Toledo.
On December 30, 2015, the documentary titled "The sound of the canvas" was released at the PYA Cinema in our city, produced by the Association together with the collaboration of the Culture Council of the City Council of our city and directed by Álex González and Adrián Ortín, in the production company "Sensations" Films ".
The screening, narrates through ten perfectly sequenced chapters, the development of the world premiere of this work, dedicated to the Band of the Association of Friends of Music of Yecla and its director Ángel Hernández Azorín.
