The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, visited today the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception of Yecla, declared in 2009 as an Asset of Cultural Interest with the category of Monument, and which is immersed in the commemorative acts of the 150th anniversary of its opening to the cult .
Acts, among which stand out, concerts, exhibitions, publications and conferences that will take place throughout the year.
Lopez Miras, who made this visit after presiding at the City Council of Yecla the weekly meeting of the Governing Council, stressed that this Basilica "is one of the symbols not only Yecla but the Region, and an example of solidarity, commitment of a whole municipality to build it and how the tradition and custom of this land and of Spain is also linked to faith ".
