Going back to an obsolete plan that affects the sustainable urban growth of Yecla |
The Government of the Popular Party ends this legislature, failing to fulfill its electoral promise to approve a new General Plan of Urban Planning
On January 13, 2017, an extraordinary plenary session was held, whose sole issue was that of the "Initial Approval of the General Urban Plan."
With this new Plan it was intended to solve and solve urban-type problems detected in recent years.
Betting on a model of compact, sustainable city, with a conservative approach to our environment, our natural environment and our cultural, historical, archaeological or landscape heritage.
It also highlighted the forecast of more than three million square meters of residential land and the adaptation to the current legislation on the buildability of urban land.
Among many other improvements that this plan presented.
The Municipal Citizens Group, voted in favor of the initial approval of the PGOU, understanding that it is vital for a municipality to have a new "General Plan of Urban Planning", for its development and growth as a city for the future.
Once again, the Government Team of the Popular Party, has shown its lack of rigor at the time of finishing the work and its carelessness, allowing time to be thrown on it, allowing the expiration of the license suspension period, without arrive on time to approve the new PGOU.
As a result of this immobilism, our municipality goes back 35 years, and once again has the old General Urban Plan of 1984, so we will not have any of the improvements announced for that moment in 2017.
On the verge of finalizing the legislature the PP Government, not only, has not fulfilled its electoral promise where they committed themselves to approve the new PGOU, but leaves our municipality with an old plan, being able to generate possible patrimonial responsibilities in front of the affected ones.
Assuming a historical setback with very negative effects for the city of Yecla.
In addition to many other consequences in terms of urban licenses that have been granted in the last two years and the damage that may involve returning to the PGOU of year 84.
