The Government delegate has announced the increase of surveillance with patrols of the Civil Guard in rural areas of Yecla where neighbors have reported an increase in crime and have expressed a sense of insecurity.
Francisco Jiménez has chaired the Local Board of the municipality, where, in addition to this matter, safety devices have been studied on the occasion of the Fiestas de San Isidro and the Autonomic, Local and European Elections next May.
"In urban areas there has been a significant decrease in crime, especially those related to theft of vehicles inside or against sexual freedom and abuse.
In rural areas, the figures have increased a bit and we have responded to the request of the residents and the city council to reinforce the surveillance with more Civil Guard patrols, "explained the Government delegate.
During the session held in the Consistory, the delegate has transferred to municipal officials the details for the upcoming incorporation of the City of Yecla VIOGEN system of the Ministry of Interior, which is materialized with the signing of a protocol with the Delegation of the Government, as Ten other municipalities in the Region have already done so.
