The III Triathlon 'City of Yecla' organized by the Arab Triathlon Club will take place on Sunday June 30 and will include the Regional Relay Triathlon Championship.
The swimming segment will be developed in the Los Rosales swimming pool, cycling will take place in the north round and the walking race in the Perales streets where the meta-, Camino Real and Clara Campoamor will be located.
At 9:00 am the relay race will start, which will decide the champion of the Region of Murcia in triathlon by relays and from 11:00 hours will follow the categories cadet, infantile, alevín, benjamín and prebenjamín.
The award of trophies to the first three of each race will take place at 1:00 pm in the María José Martínez Pavilion.
The benjamin and prebenjamin categories will not be competitive, so all the participants who reach the finish line will receive a medal.
Likewise, all registered athletes will receive gifts.
The III Triathlon 'Ciudad de Yecla' will have the participation of more than 30 teams from all over the Region and more than 100 minors, while the tests will be awarded for the regional championship.
Ten teams from our city, two of them female, have confirmed their presence.
The Councilor for Sports, Pedro Romero, has congratulated Club Triatlón Arabí Yecla for his work and has highlighted the work of Local Police, Civil Protection, Red Cross and volunteers so that the event runs smoothly.
On the other hand, the president of Club Triatlón Arabí, Jesús Muñoz, thanked the City Council for its collaboration in organizing the competition and asked neighbors for understanding of the street cuts and parking bans that will take place on the morning of Sunday 30 of June.
