From IU-Verdes we stated that the PP has censored Young IU-Activists Network prohibiting the installation of an information table at the fairgrounds.
The PP alleges that it is not approved by the Governing Board, an organ in which the right-wing party controls all the votes.
However, the request has been made since July and that this process has not passed responds only to the unequivocal will to block the constitutional right of information held by the political parties.
This decision contrasts with the authorization of occupation of public roads in the fair granted to other organizations, which are not prevented from installing information spaces.
The Youth IU information table was to be installed with three objectives: to inform about the creation of the youth training itself, to collect signatures against the installation of bookmakers in our town and to collect donations to send humanitarian aid to Ghana, through an NGO.
In this way, the PP helps companies that intend to place bookmakers in Yecla by preventing civil society from organizing against its installation.
Likewise, with the ban, the PP prevents collaboration in sending humanitarian aid to Ghana and decides in an undemocratic way how and when its political opponents can exercise the right to information.
