Yecla hosts this Friday, October 25 in the morning a technical day and demonstration of machinery of the Olive grove in Seto to seek its innovation and sustainability and where the keys to its profitability will be known.
The activity has the impulse of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and will take place at the Nazario Ibáñez farm from 9 in the morning.
The university center has spent years studying the cultivation of olive grove in hedge and how it has become one of the most profitable crops after the last crisis, since it differs in that it has a great mechanization and this produces a decrease in costs and an improvement both of the quality of the product, as of its profitability.
In these days we want to show how the evolution of this type of cultivation has taken place and how the use of water in this type of exploitation has become efficient, an issue that causes concern among citizens.
Likewise, the testimony of some farmers who will tell their experiences with the olive tree in hedge can be heard and the collaborating companies will demonstrate some of the machines used in the cultivation in hedge.
This day is sponsored by Agromillora SLU, Mañez y Lozano, Industrias David, AZUD, Agromecánica Yecla SL and Tomás Palao SL.
To attend this day you must register on the ibe.agromillora.com/eventos website.
The day will begin at 9 with the reception of assistants.
At 9:30 Gerardo Box de Agromillora will deliver the conference "evolution of the olive grove in hedge in irrigation and dry land. New varieties and cultivation techniques", then Javier Juárez de AZUD will analyze the efficiency of water use in hedge crops.
At 11:20 Tomás Palao, Javier Martínez and Ángel Tortosa will show their experiences in this type of farms, while at the end there will be an exhibition and demonstration in the field of machinery to olive grove in hedge.
