They have participated in the "reconstruction" in cardboard of Yecla in its historic center, within a set of educational activities about its history and heritage This weekend the historic center of Yecla has enjoyed the educational project HA of the castle!
(History and social action around the Spanish strengths).
It is a project that works in the Spanish populations with mountainous orography and historical strength crowning the population.
The case of Yecla and the archaeological remains of its castle is exceptional and for that reason it has been able to host a weekend full of activities, involving the citizens of different cultures within a game time.
The project has been focused on children and with the intention of making their most immediate environment known in a playful way.
The activities that have gone from knowledge of heraldry to the making of medieval complements, have ended with the large-scale reconstruction, with the help of historical documentation, of the ancient fortress of Yecla in the historic center, bringing that unknown part of its History at young and old.
The size of the recreated volumes has allowed to visit its rooms and most identifying towers.
In addition, members of the archaeological museum have participated in the activity explaining the history and there has been an interest for all in developing the activity on heritage teaching in the near future with the same team of ARAE Patrimonio.
This has been a project coordinated by the architect Angela López of ARAE Patrimonio and funded by the BBVA Foundation, which supports the work of highly innovative cultural researchers and creators, and has served as a prelude to the creation of new tools for dissemination and teaching environment to Hisn Yakka.
