From the Association of Diabetics of Yecla and Jumilla (ADA) in collaboration with the Department of Social Services and Culture of the Hon.
City Hall of Yecla and on the occasion of World Diabetes Day that is celebrated on November 14, we will proceed to illuminate the facade of the Church of San Francisco in Blue.
Color that accompanies a circle and is the international symbol of Diabetes.
It will remain illuminated from Thursday (11/14) to Sunday (11/17).
People with diabetes live with the disease every day, but November 14 is always a very marked date since, in addition to celebrating World Diabetes Day, and with this gesture, we claim everything that remains to be done in as for awareness, training and awareness.
Due to the increase in prevalence figures, from the association of Diabetics of the Altiplano, the Murcian Federation of diabetes and the National Federation of Diabetics of Spain, we want to call prevention in this regard and, in addition, demand education for good control and management of diabetes
And not only for patients, but also for their closest relatives;
as the motto of this 2019 of the International Diabetes Federation reminds us "Protect your family" healthy habits and diabetes education involve the whole family and the rest of society, to ensure that, together, they stop the complications of pathology.
During this World Diabetes Day, protect your nearest circle.
Diabetes figures are increasing every year but, despite this, the little support and awareness that it receives, from health administrations, with which 6 million people live in Spain, remains one of the main gaps in public management.
With a good education of the patients, 80% of deaths caused by cardiovascular reasons in diabetics could be avoided with better control.
From the Association of Diabetics of the Altiplano we invite citizens to know the disease, among all, to prevent its occurrence.
Visit us at our headquarters in C / San José n ° 8 2nd on Thursdays from 8 pm to 9 pm and on Fridays from 11 am to 12 am.
We will give you the keys to avoid Diabetes.
