"After more than 20 years since the promulgation of the Occupational Risk Prevention Law, a large part of the administrations are unaware of the legislation."
This has been said by Ignacio Rosat, Human Resources director of the Palau de la Música de València and specialist in prevention and security of the Public Administration with more than thirty published works.
“No prevention plans or preventive organization charts are written, positions are not created to manage the preventive activity, emergency measures are neglected, in many cases drills have never been conducted, the training is null or insufficient, because it is not addressed practical way.
All this is resulting in serious accidents that result in convictions of technicians and authorities, including in the criminal field, â€he said.
Rosat has thus referred to a conference organized by Valora Prevention to analyze the responsibility of public administrations in matters of occupational hazards and that has brought together representatives of public administrations of the provinces of Alicante and Murcia.
During the day, practical aspects of health surveillance in public administrations have also been addressed by Guillermo Gil, Technical Director of Valora Prevention.
Gil has talked about health exams and medical occupational skills in public employees, has reviewed the different jobs and the most common situations he has encountered in his professional practice, highlighting the different solutions adopted out in your professional experience.
The session was presented by the territorial director of prevention values, Enrique Pagan.
Valora Prevention provides coverage throughout Spain to more than 27,500 companies and protects about 440,000 workers throughout the national territory.
