The Yeclana delegation, headed by the mayor of Yecla, found a magnificent disposition in the ministry officials
'Our goal is to get the support of the ministry in 1.5 percent cultural and complete the restoration of the entire San Francisco complex'
Last Friday and after having visited the Zaragoza Furniture Fair to support our furniture companies and reinforce the image campaign of the 59th edition of FMY, and to have promoted the Yecla Wine Route along with Yeclana Holy Week in FITUR , the mayor of Yecla, Marcos Ortuño, ended the week leading a municipal delegation that visited the Ministry of Development to analyze the aspects that can be improved in the restoration project of the Chapel of the Virgen de las Angustias and opt for a better position of heading to the aid that the ministry summons within the 1.5 percent cultural campaign.
The Yeclana delegation, headed by our mayor and where the Councilor for Culture were together with various municipal technicians, held a working meeting with the ministry's technicians.
-'Our objective is to restore this chapel because it is part of our cultural heritage, it is an important example of our history and because it is surely the greatest exponent of the Levantine baroque in Yecla'- Marcos Ortuño said.
On the meeting with the technicians of the ministry, the mayor of Yecla has underlined -'the good disposition that we have found in the officials and the great work that we have been able to carry out and that will greatly facilitate the improvement of the restoration project'- .
Marcos Ortuño has continued saying that -'There are aspects that are easily improved and that will position us much better to be able to get this help'-.
Among these improvements is the increase in the municipal contribution that will be added to the one announced recently by the Regional Government.
To conclude the mayor of Yecla has stated that - within the project that we are going to present for this call it is important that we notify other contributions that the Ministry of Development is making in our municipality, as is the case of the construction of the highway and the link that can be assumed for Yecla and for this area of the Spanish east that this chapel, this temple of the Levantine baroque is completely restored, because without a doubt projects like this encourage cohesion between the various regions of the area and between two communities such as Murcia and Valencia .
