'Let's make Region and serve wines of our denominations of origin in official acts'
This morning and with the presence of the mayor of Yecla, Marcos Ortuño, the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta and the vice president of the DO Yecla, Ramón Castaño, the tasting cycle dedicated to Yecla wines was presented in Murcia and that It will develop in Murcia from tomorrow, February 14 and until next October.
A total of 17 tastings, aimed at the general public as well as experts from the world of hospitality, are included in this cycle to be held in Murcia on the occasion of its appointment as Gastronomic Capital.
Tastings that will take place in two different spaces: the Central Office of Murcia Gastronomic Capital and the Hall of Mirrors of the Romea Theater.
'More than 90 percent of the production of our Yecla DO wines are exported.
And each and every one of those bottles carry the name of Yecla to everyone'-, said Marcos Ortuño who has continued saying that -'our challenge, the great challenge we have now is to get those people who have met us in anywhere in the world for our great wines, feel the curiosity to know the place where they are produced and come to enjoy them knowing Yecla and pairing those wines with our wonderful gastronomy '.
Finally, the mayor of Yecla wanted to thank Murcia and especially his mayor for the generosity he has shown with the other towns in our Region by giving them a place within its gastronomic capital, while calling on the different Administrations and institutions and associations of the Region of Murcia to 'when we organize any act in which we want to serve a wine, please make region and offer wines from any of the three great denominations of origin that we have in Murcia such as Bullas, Jumilla and by supposed Yecla '.
