Yecla City Council has streamlined the payment to suppliers during these two weeks, allocating more than € 400,000 for this and the collection of Vehicle Tax and the parking ford fee is carried over to the second semester 'We will do everything in our hand to help the Yeclanos and we will not put any municipal tax on collection while this situation lasts, in addition to giving all the facilities that the law allows us' A new package of measures to combat and mitigate the consequences of the pandemic COVID-19 , has been presented this morning by the mayor of Yecla.
Among these measures, the most striking has been the creation of a Contingency Fund endowed with 300,000 euros.
-'We are studying how to provide this Contingency Fund that will be dedicated to putting in place measures that can help the Yeclanos to overcome the consequences of this health and economic crisis, but I can tell you that the number with which we are working is around 300,000 euros'- Marcos Ortuño said, adding that - 'we also intend to apply the 2019 surplus which was 156,000 euros for social policy measures, specifically for primary care, but for this we must wait for the Government of Spain authorize us. '
Likewise and within those economic measures, the mayor of Yecla has underlined the effort that the Yeclano consistory has made to help provide liquidity to its suppliers.
'In these two weeks we have streamlined the payment of bills worth 400,000 euros to those small companies and freelancers who work for the city council'- and that as we all know, the liquidity of companies and freelancers will be essential for their survival.
- 'We know it is not much, but we want to fulfill and be in solidarity with those who do their work.'
Finally, and to finalize this package of measures, Marcos Ortuño has stated that -'the collection of the Tax on Mechanical Traction Vehicles and the parking ford rate that these days should be charged will be taken to the second semester, expanding the payment period to 5 months and giving the possibility of dividing it into 24 monthly installments if requested '.
Marcos Ortuño has returned to stress the need to strictly comply with the confinement regulations to fight this epidemic, regulations that will be tightened with more police controls and with new recommendations that have been issued by a municipal group.
–'The police tell us that abuses are taking place with the issue of taking the dogs out and for that we have issued a series of regulations that the State Security Forces and Bodies are going to enforce, as it is not possible to be in the street more than 20 minutes with the dog or move away from the home more than 300 meters.
