Gone is that first letter in which we reported on the measures that we had to take suddenly and with all the uncertainty to continue with the activity of our Music School.
Many weeks have passed since then, we have made mistakes, we have learned new ways to use the tools provided by social networks, video calls, virtual platforms, etc. From the faculty we only want to thank with our hearts in hand the effort that both families and students have made to adapt to this virtual world which has allowed us to maintain our main objective, which was none other than to continue communicating at the same time as get to be a tool for leisure and enjoyment in moments that have been very hard for everyone.By means of this new writing we want to inform that it is our intention to start staggered with face-to-face classes at our Music School.
For this we have accepted the health recommendations; using all possible means to do it in the safest way and having all the teachers and our employees in janitorial and administration completed a certified course on occupational hazards against the Covid-19.The new educational system that we are going to develop will be a combination of face-to-face classes and online classes.
Taking into account that it is possible that in the next course we will have to continue using it, we wanted to start it up during a period between June 1, late phase 2 and July 24, where we will have passed phase 3 and we will be within the period called normal. We thus meet the demand of a large part of our students to return to direct contact, thus being able to follow up more naturally and effectively on their musical learning.
Obviously and understanding that not all students will be able or willing to make use of this system, we offer you the possibility of continuing only with the system applied during home isolation. We also want to inform you that in this two-month period, the Board of Directors of our Association has decided not to return to the quotas prior to the state of alarm, leaving them reduced by 35% in the subject of Music and Movement and 15% in the rest of subjects of their initial price, understanding that the situation of economic uncertainty worldwide generates a very unique situation to which we want to contribute our particular effort having voluntarily lowered the salary of teachers by 20%.
However, we want to transfer the option that if a student wants to contribute their full quota or contribute in solidarity, they can choose to become a member of our association, thus contributing to the human and economic support of this entity, while benefiting from the advantages of this figure.
.We must bear in mind that the financial contribution generated by the performances of our Symphonic Band has disappeared in such a way that the total budget of this school has been strongly reduced. We attach to this letter a list of the security and hygiene measures that we are going to apply during this new stage.PREVENTIVE SAFETY AND HYGIENE MEASURESThe responsibility of each one of us is essential, having as our first rule the decision not to attend classes in the event of having any symptom that could be related to Covid19.Reduction and organization of schedules to control the capacity of the building by floors and by classrooms.Creation of two ways of movement within the building, one of exit and one of entrance, in addition to controlling the distances of our students in stairs, hallways and classrooms.Mandatory hand sanitizing when entering the building and return to do it before and after class.
The student must bring their own gel, although in the case of not wearing it, we will have it in all the classrooms, at the entrance to the building and in its common areas.Mandatory use of mask except in cases where it is not possible due to the characteristics of the instrument.Avoid touching objects and utensils in common areas such as railings, tables, chairs, etc ...Physical distance between student and teacher of around 2 meters using the mask both in the case of the approach caused by the characteristics of the explanation.Separation screens will be used between teachers and students whenever possible. In the case of wind instruments the student and the teacher will always play in a position where there is no direct exposure to them. For common instruments such as pianos or percussion, they will be disinfected between one class and another, as well as those items of used furniture.A minimum time of 10 minutes will be left between one class and another for cleaning and ventilation. At the entrance of the building, only the people who indicate the marks for it or those clients allowed in the cafeteria areas can stay. The study rooms may not be used unless they are supervised by the student's teacher or tutor, who must communicate this sufficiently in advance. The use of toilets will be avoided.
In the case of using it, it must be communicated to the custodian or teacher for cleaning and immediate disinfection.
These will be limited to one toilet per plant, being periodically disinfected. There can only be a single student waiting and must remain in front of the classroom and always in the peristyle area of ??the inner courtyard. In the case of any group class, they must enter in an orderly manner and with the recommended distance of around 2 meters, wearing a mask, leaving enough space in the stair areas if they coincide with one or more other students and leaving those who have finished their class. The entrance to class will be direct to the classroom and the exit of class will be direct to the street or cafeteria area if possible. The responsibility of each individual is essential, just as it is our duty as educators that we are, to teach our students to live with this new reality, trying by all means that those who study or belong to this School are an example of behavior and discipline towards our society.
