The left-wing party asks the Government Team that the aid to the self-employed that were approved by the Yecla city council due to the coronavirus be entered as soon as possible Izquierda Unida-Verdes denounces that the aid to the self-employed affected by Covid-19 that was approved by the Yecla city council still does not reach the people who requested it. These grants come from items that the City Council will not be able to spend due to the impact of the pandemic in our town and they were launched with the votes in favor of all political groups, except for the PSOE who abstained.
They consist of a single deposit of an amount between 400 and 600 euros, depending on the total number of grants granted. The application period ended on July 7.
However, according to Alberto Martínez, IU-Verdes spokesman, "to this day all the people who applied for the aid still have not seen a single euro." Likewise, it denounces that many of the self-employed and micro-companies urgently need the income of the subsidy, since their businesses have been greatly affected by Covid-19. For all this, Alberto Martínez asks the Government Team "to accelerate the granting of these grants and enter as soon as possible to help avoid the closure of many small businesses in Yecla."
