The Association of Yecla de Afectados de Cáncer (AYAC) remains determined to bet on culture within the wide range of services and activities it offers, and, on this occasion, has convened the first edition of its Short Story Contest 'Life Stories '. The objective of this contest is to give visibility and invite anyone who wishes to share their story of life, learning and transformation.

"Through writing we are given the opportunity to reflect, to understand our emotions and feelings, their origin, their causes and where they are leading us.

By sharing your life story you offer others a powerful tool to face the challenges of life.

life, "explains the AYAC management team. The complete bases of the contest are published from today on the AYAC website, and people who want to participate can now send their original works until 24:00 hours on December 31, 2020.

The works will be sent through a form created specifically for the Story Contest on the AYAC website, and the jury's decision will be announced on January 25, 2021. Anyone over 16 years of age with residence in the Region of Murcia may participate in the contest.

The subject of the short story will be free and in Spanish, and must include three words: love, emotion and hope. The contest will be resolved by a jury made up of seven impartial people chosen especially for the occasion by AYAC, among which are professors, writers and members of the Association itself. There will be a single winner and two finalists, who will receive the following prizes, in addition to the publication of their works on the AYAC website: Winner: mattress from the Khama catalog to be chosen by the author of the story, donated by Ecus Sleep. 1st Finalist: voucher for a relaxing body massage chosen by the author of the story, donated by Kayas Salud Integral. 2nd Finalist: lot of three books to be chosen by the author of the story, donated by Librería Damar.
