The deputy, who has obtained support for her proposal by signing a transaction, explained that the situation of the Police Station is unacceptable, since the current building that houses the police units "does not meet the ideal conditions for the provision of the service public due to its reduced space, age, state of conservation and structural inadequacy ". "The Yecla City Council, aware of this situation, agreed in July 2016 to transfer the old municipal slaughterhouse facilities free of charge to the Ministry of the Interior, which has a total area of ??1,400 meters and is located in a strategic place due to its proximity to different communication channels, "the deputy stressed. During his intervention in the Commission of the Interior, Borrego has indicated that "the City Council has already fulfilled its part by submitting in January 2020 the construction project that is supervised by the Ministry of the Interior", has qualified the 'popular', who has explained that this assignment is conditional on the building being in operation for this purpose within a period of five years, "but the deadline is met in 2021 and the work has not yet been put out to tender, so the Ministry must tender the construction project as soon as possible ". The deputy has ensured that, for the Yecla City Council, whose mayor, Marcos Ortuño, has followed the intervention in the Commission in the Congress of Deputies, the construction of this police station is a priority to guarantee the safety of the municipality, so The provision of these facilities is urgent as well as the necessary material so that the work of the National Police becomes increasingly effective in the locality.
