| Inmaculada Hernández gives her the witness after almost 20 years | The Executive Committee of the longest-running Furniture Fair in Spain has unanimously appointed Patricia Cuadrillero as the new director of the fair institution.
Thus opens a new period in which the strategic vision necessary in these times will run from the hand of a great connoisseur of the sector and the world of public administrations. This Wednesday the Executive Committee of the Yecla Furniture Fair met in an extraordinary way and has appointed Patricia Cuadrillero as the new director of the institution.
The unanimity of all its members, starting with that of the president and mayor of Yecla, Marcos Ortuño Soto, has been total.
Cuadrillero, therefore, takes over the management of the longest-running fair in Spain for the next few years. The executive committee of the Yecla Furniture Fair has also thanked Inmaculada Hernández for her long years of dedication and work as director of the Fair Institution.
In the words of Marcos Ortuño: "I want to sincerely thank Inmaculada Hernández for her work and professionalism.
Under her direction, the Fair began a new route, giving a twist to both the image and the focus of the contest.
We must remember that this Fair, with Immaculate in management, she remained standing when no other in Spain survived the very serious economic crisis that devastated us a decade ago, making a very important commitment to the contract format, obtaining, with all the financial support of the Regional Administration and our City Council, the support of the sector and especially of Yeclan companies. We can only acknowledge the great work that Inmaculada has developed and welcome Patricia Cuadrillero, a woman who knows the sector perfectly, who has been a member of the Executive Committee for years and who will surely know how to develop a future project for our Fair ". For her part, the new director of the fair, from Madrid by birth, from Murcia by feeling and closely related to Yecla, has a degree in Clinical and Industrial Psychology from the Complutense University, in addition to having a master's degree in Human Resources among her studies.
Despite having worked for some years in a consulting firm in Madrid, he soon began to work in AREMA (the Murcian association that brings together furniture manufacturers in the region).
Cuadrillero is a great connoisseur of all the obligations and requirements that a position of this type entails.
He has directed, among others, the negotiations of the furniture and wood agreement in the Murcia Region on various occasions, in addition to knowing well the vast majority of businessmen and women in this furniture sector at the local and regional level. Her position and good relationship with many organizations and business institutions (CROEM itself, among others) and with different councils of the Government of the Region, place her as an appropriate person to manage the Yeclana fair and take over from Inmaculada Hernández. Thus opens a new stage, but at a time of great uncertainty in the face of a damaged economy, an unprecedented health alert in our current society, but with a boom in the sale of furniture of unknown proportions until now.
A challenge for the new director of the furniture fair and her entire executive committee. Inmaculada Hernández culminates this stage after almost 20 years as director of the Furniture Fair when the moment of her retirement arrives Inmaculada Hernández has directed the fair since 2003.
Throughout this period, Hernández has managed to consolidate this furniture competition, which is the oldest in the country.
The fair has lived through complicated periods (crisis of 2008) in which it had to fight very hard to get the event held, which implies that it had to promote this annual event all over the world, in order to bring potential buyers to the exhibitors.
yeclanos.
After the reactivation of the sector in 2011, Hernández launched one of the most notable milestones in recent years: the Contract Channel, through which it opens new doors and, as of 2015, reverse trade missions are generated that give new impetus to the sector and the fair.
These actions were supported by the INFO of our region.
