The Association of Friends of Music of Yecla, informs that after the meeting of the members that this year made up the Jury of the Santa Cecilia 2020 Prize, it has awarded this distinction to the journalist and RNE announcer, Mr.
José Miguel López. The jury for this edition was made up of: Francisco Muñoz Castaño, President of the AAMY; Mónica Val Val, member of the AAMY Board of Directors; Javier Soriano Lorenzo, member of the Faculty of the School of Music; Antonio Gutiérrez Calduch, member of the AAMY Music Band; Liborio Ruiz García, professional musician; Pedro Rodríguez Díaz, Director of the Yecla Adult School, as representative of Yecla's culture; Pedro Soriano Azorín, partner of AAMY, and as Secretary of the same, but without vote, Liborio Ruíz Molina, Secretary of the Association acted. This award has been given since 2005 by the Association of Friends of Music of Yecla and recognizes the work of any person, group or entity, public or private, that works to achieve the ends of promoting the knowledge and enjoyment of Music. The Prize will be awarded during the Extraordinary Concert of Santa Cecilia, which will be held when the health situation allows it. José Miguel López, a native of Haro (La Rioja), is a journalist with a degree from the Faculty of Information Sciences.

Member of the panel of European critics "World Music Charts Europe". For several years he has been visiting Yecla on the occasion of its Jazz Festival, from where for a week he broadcasts his program Discópolis live, and since then maintains a close relationship with the Association of Friends of Music of Yecla and its School of Music, every year a gap in your space for the Association and our projects, helping us to spread them nationally. This relationship culminated with the participation of the AAMY Symphonic Band, live on Radio 3, during the commemoration of the 10,000 program of Discópolis, which was held on January 13, 2018 at the Municipal Auditorium of Coslada (Madrid).
The work performed was the Jon Lord Concert for group and orchestra by the Symphonic Band of the Association of Friends of Music of Yecla together with the group of teachers from the School of Music, under the direction of Ángel Hernández Azorín.
