The Municipal Socialist Party spokesman, believes that it would be inconsistent with a performance that aims to be environmentally sustainable to keep flying over the southern slope of Cerro del Castillo various power lines, in addition to spoil the landscape, pose a risk to people and to itself native vegetation.
Antonio Villaescusa recalled that the construction of a bioclimatic building and the adequacy of the southern slope of Cerro del Castillo was one of the actions foreseen in the Socialist Electoral Programme of the recent municipal elections and joining the initiative was a socialist proposal FEDER on the Board of Spokesmen.
According to Villaescusa, to act on the slopes of Cerro environmental criteria of sustainability is essential and the disappearance of existing power lines that cross the area.
Do so would be a fraud at one of the basic objectives of the performance.
Socialist spokesman highlight any that with the granting by the Government of Spain of this project financed by European Funds 70% Government grant to the City in the last three years amount to more than 12 million euros, the amount highest ever received by the City to make investments in its history.
