More than 2,000 lights will be replaced by others with LED technology with an amount of 468,633.00 euros.
This action will have been renovated in the last two years 75% of public lighting in the town.

Last July was signed with a company yeclana, selected from the more than fifty of Spain that were submitted to the contest, the supply contract to replace the current lighting of the town with a new LED technology.
More than 2,000 lights will be replaced, a change which, together with the performances of the last two years, will update more than 75 percent of our lighting network.
This project for the modernization and improvement of public lighting will have a final budget of € 468.633,00 funded by the Institute for Diversification and Saving of Energy, under the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
"For us it is a priority to go modernize all public services, especially when it involves an improvement for all yeclanos and savings to the public purse of over € 100,000 per year," said Mark Ortuño.
And the reduction of energy consumption that will mean this updated public lighting network exceeds 800,000 Kwh, which translated means saving money on energy bills the City more than € 100,000 a year.
An investment that will be amortized over a period of four years.
Also the Mayor of Yecla, Marcos Ortuño, stressed that "this also shows our commitment to the environment, because with this investment Yecla cease to emit into the atmosphere more than 130,000 kg of CO2, while we will reduce to almost zero light pollution ".
Installation works are planned to start at the beginning of this September and be completed during the month of December.
