In this first phase a new glass and a new building with changing rooms and areas for athletes, trainers and spectators will be built.
The budget amounts to € 1.828.343,52 for a total area of ​​2385.85 m2.
This morning at a press conference, the Mayor of Yecla, Marcos Ortuño together with the Councillor for Sports, Pedro Romero, presented the project to expand the indoor pool.
"This is one of the projects we had raised to run during this term and will start to become a reality," said Marcos Ortuño.
A project that in its first phase and as reported by Pedro Romero, will consist of a new vessel designed for teaching, changing rooms and ancillary spaces such as reception, offices, toy library, self-service bar or gallery for spectators.
The implementation of this project will be carried out "without having to close the facility users," he wanted to stress the Councillor for Sports, as the intervention in the building will be minimal during the months of use.
This intervention will involve the replacement of the cover of the current dressing rooms, running a skylight polycarbonate to illuminate the existing glass and demolition of the drying zone and toilets to allow connection with the new building dedicated to changing rooms and access the new glass.
Marcos Ortuño stressed that "we have sacrificed the urgency of the work by having the views of the various sports clubs who work in the pool," which has continuado- "We wanted that associations could see first hand the project initial and contribute their ideas, ideas that have transformed the final project. it is our way of working and making an open and participative management policy ".
The budget for the work of remodeling of this municipal facility as demanded by yeclanos, amounting to a total of 1,828,343.52 euros including VAT, which will involve the construction of an area of ​​2385.85 m2, including a new transformer 400kVA power with power.
