The Socialists propose to modify the street signage to potential problems in the García Lorca square with access to Mill Street, Mayday and Santa Teresa de Jornet, in addition to requesting cleaning a large oil slick that may pose a risk to Cars
The Municipal Socialist Group has submitted a request to address different proposals on road safety in the Plaza de García Lorca.
A place that behaves almost like a roundabout and, therefore, it would be normal encircle vehicles have preference.
The point is that the three entrances or additions to it are marked pose problems, since access to Mill Street has a 'give way' that almost anyone can see that, often, parked cars prevent their vision.
Meanwhile, access to the street May Day is the most dangerous because it is a downward slope that increases the speed of vehicles and also lacks signaling to stop, no 'stop' and not 'give way' .
And finally, access to the street Santa Teresa de Jornet, which is marked with a 'give way', probably insufficient, because then a terrace (Olivo de Jaen) is located and there is no visibility.
The Socialists request that the possibility of installing two 'stops' with the aim of reducing the risk of accidents on these streets be studied and, therefore, to improve road safety in a fairly busy area.
The PSOE made known to the local government that also in the vicinity of the Plaza de García Lorca was a dangerous collision of two cars in an accident a few weeks ago and it caused a spill of oil and grease on the pavement of the road and today continues without cleaning the asphalt becoming slippery and dangerous, especially when it rains.
Finally, the Socialists aim this area to the already long list of scuppers in deplorable state, one more year, the municipal government still does not give appropriate solutions assuming a problem for street cleaning and pose risks when not evacuate water.
