On Saturday October 15 gala will be held for the 25th anniversary of the folk group Arabi.
This cultural association, highlighted by the work, dissemination and teaching of their custom and ethnography.
Include its incorporation in the FEAF, Association at the national level that collects the most relevant associations of our country folklore.
Such gala will feature the groups belonging to the federation of our region.
FEAF, a delegation born in 1984 with the aim to study, investigate, collect, disseminate and publicize the traditional folk culture of different peoples of Spain.
It also deals with studying the current problems about the folklore and the safeguarding of cultural and intangible heritage of the peoples of Spain, currently the federation has 140 groups throughout the Spanish geography.
In this gala will involve 14 groups of folklore belonging to the geography of the region of Murcia.
About 5 pm the Mayor of our city Marcos Ortuño, make a reception of such groups, after which he will depart from City Hall to the park of the Constitution.
At the gala each group will delight us with two of the most representative dances.
The group was formed in 1991 Arabi, art workshops and folk customs, working in recoveries folklore, singing, percussion and others.
The group Arabi has also published books of various research that has made, has recovered prints, and is one of the important associations of ethnography, actively participating in the culture of Yecla.
