This event is organized with the collaboration of the Wine Route of Yecla, the governing council of the denomination of origin "Wines of Yecla" and the City of Yecla and is oriented to the diffusion of the wine culture and the promotion of the wine that They elaborate the yeclanas wineries.
The Councilor for Tourism Inmaculada García, the President of the Wine Route Juan Pedro Castaño and the President of the Minerva Squadron José Luis Soriano, presented the VII Oenological Contest, Festivities of the Virgin, which will take place on Saturday, November 26 .
This event is organized with the collaboration of the Wine Route of Yecla, the regulatory council of the denomination of origin "Wines of Yecla" and the City of Yecla.
It is an event oriented to the diffusion of the wine culture and the promotion of the wine that the yeclanas wineries make.
It will start at 11:00 am with an "amateur" tasting contest, at the Yecla DO Council.
It is aimed at people who are not professionals dedicated to oenology, but to beginners.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three classified, of which the first will be delivered by the City of Yecla with an amount of 200 euros, the second the Wine Route with an amount of 150 euros and the third the Squadron Minerva with an amount of 100 Euros.
All participants will receive a diploma and a bottle of wine.

The pre-registration ends on November 20 with a limited attendance of 30 people.
Secondly, a conference will be held at 6:30 pm in the Municipal Auditorium.
It will be in charge of the sommelier Javier López Lorenzo, specialized in techniques of tasting and sensorial analysis.
He is the creator of the company "Somm" from which bets on the knowledge and dissemination of the gastronomic and nutritional values ​​through tastings and tastings.
His proposals are amusing and fun, highlighting his tastings of wines and oils, as well as his workshops in which he seeks to discover the most subtle and pleasurable sensations.
Then the prizes of the competition held a few hours before.
