The Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities, through the Murcian Institute of Social Action (IMAS), will increase from June onwards in four places the concert with the residence for people with intellectual disabilities AMPY de Yecla, The current 21 to 25.
The Community will allocate a total of 1,132,000 euros this year to the care of 73 people in its two centers.
Specifically, with the aforementioned extension, it will finance with 596,000 euros the residence for people with intellectual disabilities and with 535,000 euros its day center.
At present, AMPY serves 48 users in the day center, whose objectives are to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities who participate in the activities of the occupational service, providing them with social care and rehabilitation, functional therapy And multisensory stimulation, among others.
In an annex building to the day center, AMPY has a residence for the integral attention of people with intellectual disabilities with capacity for 38 users.
