The Regional Assembly unanimously approved a motion of the Popular Parliamentary Group presented by the Regional Deputy and Mayor of Yecla, Marcos Ortuño Soto requesting that the Governing Council of the Region of Murcia be urged to support the Yecla Holy Week dossier for Be declared of National Tourist Interest.
The motion emphasizes that "along with the 19 cofradias, Holy Week Yeclana is composed of more than 3,500 confreres who participate year after year in the 11 processions that are held in Yecla and which have as an exponent the image of Nyuestra Señora de The Angustias, the masterpiece of Salzillo and cataloged as BIC ", as well as the Basilica of the Purísima, as a starting point and collection of most of the processions.
