The Association of Friends of Music of Yecla, reports that during the next days May 20 and 21 will hold a new Course of Percussion in the Music School.
This course will be taught by Carolina Alcaráz, and it will be able to acquire new knowledge about the technique in percussion, as well as knowledge of orchestral repertoire.
The course is aimed at students who are currently studying in the Middle or High School (active student mode).
But all types of students are accepted as listeners.
For active student modality, 15 places will be offered limited by rigorous order of registration, in the same the students will be able to bring works to work them in the course.
CAROLINA ALCARÁZ:
Graduated from the Superior Degree with an Extraordinary Prize at the end of the career in the percussion specialty by the Óscar Esplá Superior Music Conservatory of Alicante (Spain).
He expanded his knowledge with teachers such as Nick Woud, Marinus Komst, Jan Pustjens, Daniel Druckman, Emmanuel Séjourné and the "Summer Percussion Seminar" at the Juilliard School of Music in New York.
She is a percussion coordinator at the International Piano Festival "Guadalquivir Pianístico" and director of the international percussion competition "ConUCOpercusión".
The University of Córdoba has been awarded the Santo Tomás de Aquino Award for its cultural work in the city.
He won the 1st prize of the "Torneo Internazionale di Musica 2002" (Tarascon, France) in the specialty of percussion soloist.
He participates in numerous music festivals in Spain, Europe, South America and the United States.
He was representative of Spain in the world-wide marimba convention "Marimba2010" held in Minnesota (USA).
He has performed as a soloist with the Cordoba Orchestra, Murcia Region Symphony Orchestra, Elche Symphony Orchestra, UNKO Finland, University of Minnesota Symphony Orchestra, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and with MINTAKA, ESCLATS and KONTAKTE percussion groups.
It maintains an active pedagogical work like professor of the Young National Orchestra of Spain, the Young Orchestra of Andalusia and the Young Orchestra of Cordoba.
As well as in courses of advanced and high specialization in the conservatories of Cordoba, Malaga, Elda, Alicante and Alcázar de San Juan;

Renowned composers like Juan de Dios García Aguilera, José Luis Turina, Leo Brouwer and Igmar Alderete Acosta, have dedicated different works to him.
In 2016 he developed, in collaboration with the Youth Orchestra of Andalusia, the audiovisual project "Percussion for the Silence" (concert for film and percussion group), which reinterprets the concept of soundtrack for silent films through the language of percussion And with which this season, is presented in various scenarios Andalusian.
Next September he will attend as a lecturer, concert performer and member of the court of the marimba contest to the meetings of PAS (Percussion Arts Socity) in Italy.
Since 1992 he has held the Soloist Help Desk in the Cordoba Orchestra.
