The secretary general of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Pilar Valero, and the mayor of Yecla, Marcos Ortuño, participated this afternoon in the presentation of 'Interiorists', a project that aims to stimulate tourism in Yecla through the sector of furniture.
The objective is to attract new visitors and extend the stay of those who come to promote an experience in which the quality of furniture, the creativity of interior designers and the cultural, gastronomic and nature offer with which the municipality counts.
The project, conceived by the Yeclana company Reding Estudio Creativo, has begun its development with the association 'Tu Mueble in Yecla', which groups 15 furniture stores, the wine route and other merchants.
In 'Interioristas', shops and furniture producers with tourist companies are united "designed a new and original tourism of shopping ideal for a young public, attracted by the design and the quality of the furniture of Yecla", indicated Pillar Valero.
The idea arises from offering people who come weekly to Yecla furniture stores an experience of visiting the integrated municipality that a gastronomy, hiking, wine tastings and patrimonial and cultural views, being responsible for the furniture stores the prescribers to achieve a more comprehensive and satisfactory stay.
In addition, different packages of experiences are being designed, since the visits for the purchase or the renovation of the furniture usually require several visits to the store, according to the interviews with the managers of establishments in the previous studies of design of this initiative.
Likewise, the work consists of bringing together synergies and cross-recommendations between furniture companies and tourist services, in order to attract more buyers of furniture and tourists.
"In short, this new initiative comes to reinforce the tourist offer of the municipality and the Region, based on a differentiated product such as the quality furniture produced in Yecla and joining it to other attractions such as gastronomy, wine, culture or enjoy the nature, all in order to offer a unique, quality and differentiated experience, which is what Yecla offers to the visitor, "concluded the director general of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment.
