The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, delivered today the accreditation 'Hospital friend of mothers and children' to the Virgen del Castillo de Yecla hospital, a recognition granted for the third consecutive year by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Unicef, which promotes the Initiative for the Humanization of Birth Assistance and Breastfeeding.
"It is contrasted that prolonging breastfeeding produces not only a strengthening of the child's immune system but also strengthens the newborn's emotional ties with his mother," said the regional chief executive, who stressed that "this will strengthen the family bond ", which he referred to as" the center and axis of every society to which all the policies of a government must be directed ".
"We are going to put in place measures that guarantee the needs of families, that defend them as an institution, and that value how important they are for society," said Lopez Miras, while stressing that "the regional government defends the family, and the family is born with life ".
