The Non-Attached Councilors warn the Yeclana population of the deception that presumes the alleged collection of food from the neo-Nazi group "Lo Nuestro" and join the request of IU-Los Verdes for the Municipality of Yecla to disavow this initiative.
Before the announcement of the neo-Nazi group "Lo Nuestro" of an upcoming public food collection in our town at 12:00 hours on Saturday, November 25, next to the Mercadona supermarket on Avenida Literato Azorín de Yecla, which has called the town of Yecla to participate in a food collection "only for Spaniards" the Not Attached Councilors of our municipality have submitted a request to Mayor Marcos Ortuño adding to the initiative presented by the Municipal Group of IU-Los Verdes in which it is required that the City Council de Yecla denies the relevant permits for this organization of clear racist and violent character.
The Not Attached Councilors consider that if this initiative is carried out, it would be a clear insult to the Yeclans who died in the Nazi extermination camps and who are honored with a monolith in the Plaza del Recuerdo of our city;
an insult to the thousands of Yeclans who in their day had to look for work in the harvest of France or in the industry of Germany to ensure the sustenance of their families and, finally, an insult to the migrant population of our municipality that shares with the rest of yeclanos the difficulties of the last crisis.
Therefore, we join the initiative presented by IU-Los Verdes to deny permission to this entity homophobic, violent and racist.
At the same time, we urge Yeclanos to collaborate with entities in our municipality such as Cáritas-Yecla or Cruz Roja that are truly concerned about the needs of our neighbors and that do not discriminate against our fellow human beings according to their race or religion.
