The municipality of Yecla will have a permanent headquarters of the University of Murcia (UMU), as set out in the agreement that, for its implementation, has been signed in the convalescent building, headquarters of the Rectorate.

The agreement has been signed by the rector, José Orihuela, and the mayor of the aforementioned Altiplano town, Marcos Ortuño.

With this will be more than thirty permanent headquarters that the UMU has spread throughout the Region.

Likewise, Orihuela and Ortuño have signed an agreement for the promotion of volunteer activities.
